3 Master Bathroom Must-Haves

If you’ve begun researching what you want in a master bathroom, you know that there is no shortage of beautiful and inspirational designs out there to help influence the look and feel of your space. However, while design is certainly important, some of the most essential must-haves for a master bathroom are also the most practical. At Indy Renovation, we love luxury as much as the next person, but we also invite you to consider these three features that are not only beautiful, but will improve your everyday routine.

1. A Custom Shower

The shower is a feature that gets regular use, so customizing it is a great way to upgrade your routine. Consider adding a shower bench to help with shaving your legs and to give yourself a place to sit, relax, and enjoy the hot water. Also, adding storage cubbies into the walls of your custom shower is a practical and stylish way to give all your shampoo bottles a place.

2. A Double Vanity

A dual vanity is something you should never skip when remodeling your bathroom. It will provide plenty of storage and if you share your bathroom, you will love not having to share a sink! Even if you live alone, a double sink is a great investment if you plan to sell in the future as most buyers prefer a double vanity in the master bath.

3. Task Lighting

Bathroom lighting can be tricky because it requires both practical and functional lighting solutions. Grooming requires just the right amount of well-placed lighting. Too little and you won’t be able to see what you’re doing. Too much lighting or poor placement can cause glare issues. That’s why task lighting, such as lighted mirrors and medicine cabinets, are extremely beneficial. They make everyday activities, like applying makeup or shaving, a breeze.

If you need help deciding on any of these bathroom features, our team here at Indy Renovation would be glad to assist. Contact us today at (317) 375-4464 to set up a consultation for a bathroom remodel. We serve homeowners in and around Indianapolis, IN.
