1. Can you give me a timeline?

Remodeling always comes with a certain amount of unknowns. Issues almost always arise, making it difficult to stick with the schedule. However, the contractor should give you a good idea of a start and completion date. If they cannot even provide an estimated time schedule, you should proceed with caution.

2. Do you subcontract any of the work?

It isn’t uncommon for certain parts of the job, such as electrical or plumbing, to be subcontracted out to a third party. The bathroom remodeler needs to be upfront about subcontracted work and use licensed professionals.
